In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.
The mission concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
